Crude Mixed After Strong Start Fuelled by Alberta Wildfires

Crude benchmarks got off to a strong start this morning as wildfires in Alberta Canada have forced a reduction in output from that region.

However, the market turned on the EIA report that showed stockpiles climbed more than double the expected amount last week.

Once the early gains were pared trading was volatile for the remainder of the day as broader data points were somewhat supportive of crude.

Due to the volatility the trend in bunker prices was fluid.
