GAC EnvironHull Wins Clean Shipping Award for Bunker Saving HullWiper
GAC Group Thursday announced that GAC EnvironHull's diver-free and bunker saving hull cleaning technology, HullWiper, has won the Clean Shipping title at this year's Seatrade Awards in London.
"Even in a depressed market place where oil prices have taken the pressure off of vessel efficiency and operating costs to some degree, there will always be room for greater safety and the protection of the environment," said Simon Doran, Managing Director of GAC EnvironHull, who received the award for the company.
"This Award win is a valued endorsement from the industry that the HullWiper revolutionary hull cleaning system meets the stringent and vital marine environmental protection standards."
The Seatrade Award is said to be the hull cleaning technology's fourth major industry award since its launch in 2013.
In April, GAC announced the launch of its online fuel cost savings calculator, intended to show the bunker savinga that would be achieved using its EnvironHull hull cleaner.
