Sources says Glencore is set to relocate its Savannah, Georgia bunker operations from the Colonial terminal a few miles up the Savannah River to the recently refurbished Epic Midstream Savannah North terminal, effective July 1, Platts reports.

Glencore is expected to officially announce the move next month, a Glencore source told Platts.

"We're moving to another terminal down there at the end of the month," said the source, adding: "This is at a third-party terminal -- but the terminal is being built/modified for us.

"We bought [Colonial's] bunker business five years ago and are currently a tenant at their terminal."

The Epic Midstream Savannah North terminal is noted to have a total storage capacity of 1.13 million barrels across 19 tanks and offers vessel and barge loading and blending services.

Sources at Colonial with knowledge of the deal are said to have confirmed Glencore's moving on date on July 1.
