Pipeline Maintenance to Affect Bunker Supply at Itaqui: Petrobras
Friday June 26, 2026
Brazilian energy firm Petrobras has informed that the supply of VLSFO and MGO will be affected in the Port of Itaqui due to upcoming planned maintenance on its pipelines.
The maintenance will impact both the supply and receipt of bunker fuels across all berths at the Brazilian port, it said in a note to customers on Thursday.
Maintenance on the VLSFO pipelines is scheduled to run from August 18 to September 7, while work on the MGO pipelines will take place from July 29 to November 9.
“During this period, sales of the affected products will be temporarily suspended,” the note stated.
Petrobras offers bunker fuels across ports in Brazil by pipe and barge. Deliveries at Itaqui are ex-pipe only, according to the firm’s website.
