Bunkers de Mexico has dismissed a report suggesting that its fleet of four bunker barges have been arrested.

"It's business as usual here, and deliveries are taking place as they normally do," Commercial Director Jack Grogan told Ship & Bunker.

There were a number of rumours circulating the market last week following a report published on Mexican logistics website Info-Transportesm that suggested there had been a payment dispute with the supplier, but Grogan said they were untrue.

"The barges have not been arrested and they are not under threat of arrest," he said.

Grogan added that the company is not aware of where the rumours and information in the report may have originated from.

Last year the Bunker's Mexico Group opened the first ever independent bunker terminal in Mexico.
