Canada's First Dual Fuel Combo-Carrier Delivered to Great Lakes Operator

Canadian operator Groupe Desgagnés (Desgagnés) has taken delivery of a liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered asphalt-bitumen-chemical tanker Damia Desgagnés, IHS Fairplay reports.

As Ship & Bunker has previously reported, the vessel is noted to be Canada's first dual fuel LNG-powered combo carrier, and is slated to begin operation on the Great Lakes.

The vessel has also been noted to be capable of burning LNG, heavy fuel oil, or marine diesel oil.
