SEACOR to Sell Environmental Businesses to J.F. Lehman & Company
SEACOR Holdings Inc. (SEACOR) announced today that it has agreed to sell off part of its environmental business to middle-market private equity firm J.F. Lehman & Company.
The New York Based company, who focus on acquiring companies in the defense, aerospace and maritime sectors, is expected to conclude the deal to acquire National Response Corporation (NRC), NRC Environmental Services Inc. and SEACOR Response International by the end of February 2012.
Investment bank Houlihan Lokey are serving as the exclusive financial advisor to SEACOR for the transaction.
NRC, created as a direct result of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90), is one of the largest providers of oil spill response services in the United States.
West Coast based NRC Environmental Services Inc. provides hazardous and non-hazardous waste management and emergency response services for private industrial and government clients on the Pacific coast.
SEACOR Response Inc. provides an international emergency response services for oil and hazardous material spills.
