WFS Maintains Quarterly Dividend
Miami, Florida-based World Fuel Services Corporation (WFS) [NYSE:INT] has declared an 11th consecutive quarterly cash dividend of $0.0375 per share.
The news means that, with the exception of the first three quarters of 2009, the Fortune 500 fuel giant has maintained the same dividend payment since 2005.
In its press release, the company said the dividend will be payable on July 6, 2012 to shareholders of record on June 22, 2012.
In trading today, shares in the firm closed up $0.56 at $37.69, down from a high of $37.73 for the day.
Ship & Bunker reported last month the global marine fuel supplier saw the year-on-year gross profit for its marine segment grow $14.9 million, or 37%, to $55.1 million for the first quarter of 2012.
WFS, who is also engaged with aviation and land fuel products, said first quarter net income across all segments was $46.4 million, a gain of $5.3 million from $41.1 million in Q1 2011.
