Shenzhen Brightoil Petroleum has begun operations in Zhoushan, China's bonded bunker market, C1 Energy reports.

As of last week, the company had tanks, barges, and bunker fuel ready at the east China port, sources told C1.

Three other bonded bunker suppliers also operate at Zhoushan: China Marine Bunker (PetroChina) Co, China Changjiang Bunker (Sinopec) Co and Sinopec Zhejiang Zhoushan Petroleum Co.

Brightoil Petroleum (Holdings) Ltd. (Brightoil) announced last month that it was adding 15 new barges to its Chinese supply operations, and would be deploying one of them in Zhoushan.

Brightoil is also building oil storage facilities on Zhoushan's Waidiao Island, saying they will help it compete with Singapore suppliers.
