Chemoil Adani Starting Chennai Supply in January
Chemoil Adani will begin selling bunker at Chennai in mid-January 2014, the company has told Ship & Bunker in an emailed statement.
The company has 11,200 metric tonnes (mt) of available tanks and will be supplying 380 cst fuel oil with ISO 8217 2005 and a maximum sulfur content of 3.5 percent.
Fuel will be supplied from three barges: the Jaleswara, with a capacity of 300 mt and a pumping rate of 50 mt per hour; the Jalabala, with a capacity of 600 mt and a pumping rate of 100-150 mt per hour; and the MT Vamsee, with a capacity of 1,050 mt and a pumping rate of 300 to 400 mt per hour.
The barges will serve the ports of Chennai, Chennai OPL, and Ennore.
Chemoil Adani has previously said Chennai could greatly expand its bunkering activity.
