Sinanju Wins Bunker Award at Singapore International Maritime Awards 2017
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) Wednesday announced that Sinanju Tankers Holdings Pte Ltd (Sinanju) was given the Bunker Award at the Singapore International Maritime Awards 2017.
The award recognises an outstanding bunker supplier or bunker craft operator in Singapore that has demonstrated commitment to quality standards, quantity assurances, and customer satisfaction.
Sinanju ranked 43rd on the MPA list of bunker suppliers by volume for 2016, up from 55th in 2015.
Last month, Sinanju said it is embarking on a three-month mass flow meter (MFM) familiarisation program to help the crew of visiting vessels who are unfamiliar with the technology and its related procedures.
The move comes after Sinanju said it had come to light that some ship operators and crew of ocean-going ships were unfamiliar with the MFM bunkering equipment and procedures used in Singapore.
