CPC Corp. (CPC) of Taiwan will suspend supply of 380 cSt bunker fuel at Taichung for two and a half months during the annual maintenance of a barge, starting May 21, the state-owned company said in an emailed statement.

During the suspension of the fuel supply, necessitated by the annual maintenance of the barge Chun Yu No.1, the company will continue its supply of 180 cSt.

Platts reports that CPC sold 1.35 million metric tonnes (mt) of bunker fuel in 2013 at five Taiwanese ports and that Taichung is the second-largest bunkering port in the country after Kaohsiung.

On Monday, 380 cSt fuel was trading at $641.50 in Taichung, according to Ship & Bunker data.
