Singapore Bunker Player Places Order for Two VLCC Newbuilds

Singapore bunker supplier Sentek Marine & Trading Pte Ltd (Sentek) has placed an order with Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HSHI) for two VLCCs, with the option for two more, TradeWinds reports.
HSHI has said the ships will feature state-of-the-art eco-friendly design, including high pressure selective catalytic reduction and SOx exhaust gas scrubbers.
While no financial details of the order were confirmed, the first of the two vessels is reported to be slated for delivery in the first half of 2019.
The company is noted to already have two VLCCs in its fleet, including the 309,000 DWT Merlion M, which is used for storage, and 300,000 DWT Global M, which is currently chartered out.
