Barge Deliveries at Pakistani Ports Halted Until Mid-Sep Amid Monsoon Season
Outer anchorage deliveries by barge at some Pakistani ports have been suspended because of rough sea conditions during the monsoon season.
Deliveries at the outer anchorages of Port Karachi and Port Bin Qasim will not be possible until September 15, or potentially until the end of the monsoon season, local physical marine fuel supplier Ocean Straight Run Fuel Supply Services told Ship & Bunker by email on Monday.
The company supplies VLSFO and MGO to vessels at the two ports and operates its own barges.
The supplier said it would continue to support customers with bunker requirements where deliveries remain possible.
OSRFSS supplies VLSFO and LSMGO at Pakistani ports by self-propelled barges, as well as by truck at Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jebel Ali and Sharjah.
