COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation plans to build a 9,000 m3 LNG dual-fuel ethylene carrier for RMB335 million ($47 million).

The company plans to contract COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Dalian) to build the vessel, according to an exchange filing last week.

The carrier is expected to be delivered in April 2028.

The company also said the vessel will use LNG dual-fuel technology and be equipped with energy-saving and intelligent systems, as part of its efforts to improve environmental performance.

COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation is a subsidiary operating under COSCO Shipping Corporation, engaging in the shipment of LNG and oil.
