Monthly Bunker Sales up in Singapore
Sales of bunker fuel in the world's biggest bunkering hub rose in November over the same month a year ago.
Total bunker sales in Singapore came in at 4,315,600 million metric tonnes (mt) against 4,142,200 mt in November 2016, according to figures released by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
An increase in sales was also seen against the October 2017 sales volume which stood at 4,005,300 mt.
380 CST fuel oil, the main grade of bunker fuel, saw 3,146,600 mt sold in November while sales of 500 CST bunker fuel hit 899,000 mt, the highest level of sales in 2017 so far.
Total sales in Singapore passed 40 million mt in 2010 and have stayed comfortably above that level since then.
In 2016, total sales in the Southeast Asian port were 48.6 million mt.
