Bunker Prices Rise in Singapore

New year bunker prices in Asia showed little change on Wednesday, however Singapore IFO380 moved up $5.00 while the grade in Tokyo fell by the same amount.

Singapore IFO380 climbed $5.00 to $613.50 per metric tonne (pmt), an $8.50 rise from last week, and $9.00 up compared to last month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) moved up $0.50 to $690.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $77.00 pmt. MGO moved down $0.50 to $933.50 pmt, down $3.00 week-on-week.

Busan IFO380 was up $0.50 to $645.50 pmt, an increase of $12.00 since last week, and up $4.50 from the previous month. LS380 fell $2.00 to $783.50 making the premium for the low sulfur product $138.00 pmt. MGO in the port was down $0.50 to $965.00 pmt, making a $3.00 week-on-week gain.

Hong Kong IFO380 climbed $0.50 to $624.00 pmt, moving up $2.50 from last Wednesday, and gaining $6.50 since December 3, 2012. MGO fell $3.00 to $957.00 pmt, $2.00 higher than last week, and $14.00 lower than the previous month.

Tokyo IFO380 was down $5.00 to $649.50 pmt, $1.00 up week-on-week, and down $6.00 from December 3, 2012. MDO in Tokyo slipped $5.50 to $958.50 pmt, losing $1.00 in the last week, and $0.50 higher month-on-month.
