Russian Warships Refuel Off North Africa
Friday October 28, 2016
Syria-bound Russian warships, including the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, are said to be refuelling at sea off North Africa, BBC reports.
The news comes on the heels of the Spanish government confirming that Russia had withdrawn its request for bunkering three of its warships at the Spanish-North African enclave of Ceuta after NATO allies said the carrier battle group may be used against Syrian civilians
The battle group, which includes to oilers, is reported to currently be bunkering while at anchor off the coast of North Africa.
However, it is said to be unclear which of the vessels is actually being bunkered.
