Titan and Sogestran Partner on New 6,000 m3 LNG Bunker Vessel
LNG bunker supplier Titan Clean Fuels and shipowner Sogestran Group have signed a long-term agreement to build, charter and operate a new 6,000 m3 LNG bunker vessel in the Western Mediterranean.
Titan plans to use the vessel to supply LNG and liquefied biomethane (LBM) to LNG-fuelled vessels at ports including Fos-Marseille, Barcelona and Genoa, it said in an announcement today.
It will also provide gas-up and cool-down services.
The vessel has been jointly designed by the two companies for the operating conditions of Western Mediterranean ports and terminals.
Its low-air-draft design will allow it to bunker cruise ships without a pontoon.
The LNG/LBM-fuelled vessel will be built by CIMC SOE in China and will expand Molgas Group’s LNG bunker vessel fleet.
Last year, Molgas Group completed the full acquisition of LNG bunker supplier Titan Clean Fuels.
