The UK Chamber of Shipping Friday announced the launch of a summary of its forthcoming document "A Blueprint for Growth," detailing what it believes should be the government's priorities during Brexit negotiations.

"The Blueprint is designed to act as a manifesto for the years ahead," explained the chamber, noting that the document will stress the "importance of maintaining ease of trade at UK ports and ensuring our companies have access to the world's best maritime talent."

"But it also goes a step further, arguing that if other reforms already within the UK Government's power are delivered alongside those Brexit priorities then the UK could leave the EU on the best possible footing, with every possibility of boosting jobs and economic activity in the long run," explained the chamber.

Further, the UK Chamber of Shipping says it is vital to make sure that Brexit negotiations are conducted in the context of  "a broader rebooting of how the country does business," instead of in isolation.

The chamber's full Blueprint is set to be launched in November.
