Gulf Petrochem Expands Physical Bunker Operations
UAE-based Gulf Petrochem Group has today announced that with immediate effect it is officially offering physical bunker supply in the port of Antwerp, Belgium, from its existing office in Rotterdam.
The supplier says it is providing a wide portfolio of marine fuel products including RMG 380 and LSGO from two exclusive time chartered barges, the 3,000 dwt Valsinni and the 1,600 dwt Chardonnay; their pumping capacities are 960 cbm/hour and 840 cbm/hour respectively.
Both barges have been exclusively chartered from Gulf Petrochem’s existing barge partner, Dari BV.
The expansion follows Gulf Petrochem’s launch of its Rotterdam operations earlier this year.
"Entering the Antwerp market only serves to reaffirm the group’s commitment to grow the business off the back of a very successful start in Rotterdam. Further to this, our latest expansion now allows us to supply our customers with consistently high quality products and customer service to match with a fully-fledged, first class ARA service," said Neil Lamerton, Global Head of Bunkering at Gulf Petrochem Group.
"Our operations in Antwerp will be handled from our established office in Rotterdam which also undertakes worldwide back-to-back bunker and cargo trading, as well as housing the group’s West Africa desk supplying the Ports of Tema and Takoradi respectively."
