Ravi Prakash Launches New India-Based Bunker & Lubes Company
Ravi Prakash has founded and launched a new India-based bunker and lubricants company, Spectra Fuels, with an initial focus on broking.
"We are your reliable bunkering partner for worldwide ports, and our approach to the bunkering needs of our customers is consultative and collaborative rather than pure selling," Prakash told Ship & Bunker.
"Our focus is to keep our customers updated with market information, we focus on quick response to queries with reliable information."
Prakash is a well known figure in the region having been involved in the bunkering industry since 2010. He has held positions at a number of companies including Chemoil Adani, Geostan Marine, and Cockett Marine Oil.
With the upcoming IMO 2020 regulations expected to increase the interest in alternative bunker fuels, Prakash says the company is also able to assist with liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunker enquiries.
"We are happy to explore the LNG bunkering needs for any of our clients." he said.
"I have been involved with LNG bunkering developments in the Indian Sub-continent for over four years and am following up closely on LNG bunkering in India, where there have been two successful supplies executed so far."
