OceanConnect Marine (OCM) today has announced a "significant modernisation programme" within its UK Physical supply operations.

OCM says the initiative will see the company retiring its current, ageing barge Conveyor, and will add two modern barges to its fleet in August.

"This will add to OCM’s long-standing UK physical supply operation, which already includes its own dedicated storage on the Thames, in addition to truck supply throughout the whole of the country," OCM said.

Commenting on the programme, OCM Director Grant Foulger said: "The modernisation programme puts OCM on a strong footing to continue with its second decade of physical supply in the UK."

Announcement of the programme comes alongside news today that OCM has also added two new traders to its global operations.
