Growth Is on the Agenda, Says UK-Based Supplier

After three years of successful operation, UK-based OilChart Offshore (OCO) says it is looking to further grow its boutique bunker service.

"Our goal has never been to be the biggest, but growth is certainly on the agenda and it's driven only by the desire to be the best at what we do," Managing Director Owen Webber told Ship & Bunker.

Founded in 2014, OCO is a sister company within the much older Belgian OilChart International group, which was established some 35 years ago.

OCO holds supply licences for ports in North and West France, UK, and Northern Spain, but Webber says their activity is not restricted to just North West Europe.

"Everyone knows how difficult market conditions have been recently, and the restructuring some of the larger players have had to do in response to that has meant increased competition in some markets, particularly the traditional bunker hubs, and in other areas we've seen a reduction in service," he said.

"What we will continue to do is to offer our specific, specialist, and targeted solutions for our clients and help them get supplied in areas where they are finding little or no service - wherever that may be."
