NatPower Marine has joined ZEBOX, an innovation accelerator initiated by CMA CGM, to accelerate the development of shore power and other energy infrastructure for ports and shipping.

The partnership will focus on shore power, electric vessel charging, battery storage, grid connections and integrated energy management, NatPower said in a press release last week.

NatPower Marine develops, finances, builds and operates energy infrastructure for ports and shipping lines, while ZEBOX connects startups and corporate partners across the maritime and logistics sectors.

The companies aim to connect innovative technologies with the infrastructure, financing and operational capabilities needed to move projects from pilot stages to commercial deployment.

NatPower Marine will work with ZEBOX’s international network of startups, corporate partners and maritime stakeholders to assess technologies against operational requirements and identify opportunities for deployment.
