New Iraqi Bunker Service to Commence from September 20

Al-Iraqia Shipping Services & Oil Trading (AISSOT) says it will commence its new bunkering services at Iraqi Ports from September 20.

As previously reported by Ship & Bunker, the initial focus of the new operation will be on Basra, Khor Al-Zubair and Umm Qasr.

"Our supply barge is SIRE approved and specs of the bunker offered meets ISO:8217-2010 specifications. All supplies will be done as per MARPOL guidelines," AISSOT told Ship & Bunker in an emailed note.

"AISSOT will also provide Agency and other services for 'bunker-only' call vessels at Iraqi Ports. Bunker Only calls are arranged by AISSOT without any additional cost to the owners."

AISSOT is a joint-venture company of Iraqi Oil Tankers Company (IOTC) and Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company (AMPTC), and in addition to bunkering says it will handle various activities including the trading of petroleum products, Ship chartering, Oil terminals, and various other Marine services.

"For catering to various pricing needs of customers we shall be offering various pricing options ranging from term contracts, fixed, spot prices linked to benchmarks viz. Platt's, Bunker Wire etc," AISSOT added.
