Arcadia Shipmanagement to Extend 12-Year Run of Whole Fleet Green Award Certification
Green Award Tuesday announced that Arcadia Shipmanagement is set to continue to have its entire fleetĀ Green Award certified, with newbuild MT Aegean Marathon having recently received the certification and five further newbuilds receiving preparations for the certification as well.
"Arcadia Shipmanagement is a unique certificate holder. They have been participating in the Green Awards scheme with their whole fleet for 12 years," said Jan Fransen, Executive Director of Green Award.
"Their devotion to keeping the sea clean and care for people are remarkable. Our audits of Arcadia Shipmanagement show constant high quality and continuous improvement. In this time of an economic downturn, it is great to see ships of such top quality delivered."
Covering various aspects including ship equipment, emissions, human factor, management and implementation of the best practices, Green Award is said to be intended to assess and endorse quality, safety, and environmental protection standards for ship managers and their vessels.
"Efficient operations, seasoned and professional management of the Arcadia Shipmanagement, in combination with risk reduction and financial benefits for charterers and owners, which the Green Award certificate entails, make Arcadia one of the most preferred ship managers," said Green Award.
In June, Bureau Veritas S.A. (BV) announced that its fuel monitoring programme, VeriFuel, would become an incentive provider under the Green Award programme.
