Crude Benchmarks Firm

Crude benchmarks received support from all sides today leading to the first significant increase in some time.

Saudi Arabia claimed it was determined to end a supply glut and further restrain production even after the OPEC pact ends.

Meanwhile, Iraq launched another offensive against Kurdish troops in the north.

Closer to home, analysts are expecting crude inventories and distillates to drop when the figures are released tomorrow.

Bunker prices were firmer in the primary ports.
