Quadrise Fuels International plc (Quadrise) today announced that it has received an update on the provision of the Interim Letter of No Objection (LONO) from Wärtsilä related to Maersk Line's operational trial of Quadrise's MSAR emulsion bunker fuel.

Quadrise says has received confirmation that a draft interim LONO has been produced by Wärtsilä and is in the process of being reviewed by Maersk.

Following Maersk's review, the final interim LONO will be provided to Quadrise - expected this month.

"It is pleasing to be able to confirm that the Interim LONO has been received by Maersk and will be available to QFI following Maersk's review," said Mike Kirk, Executive Chairman of Quadrise.

"We look forward to being able to update shareholders upon receipt and to using it to actively support our business development activities in the marine market."

As Ship & Bunker previously reported, Quadrise received formal notification from Maersk Line in May that the shipping company was intending to let the Operational Trial Agreement between the parties expire once the MSAR emulsion bunker fuel onboard the test vessel has been consumed.
