Shell Unveils LNG Bunkering Vessel Design [VIDEO]

Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) has unveiled the design of its new liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering vessel, which it says has been developed as a response to a a need for more LNG infrastructure and reliable supply chain.

The specialised 6,500 cubic metre (cbm) LNG bunker vessel has the capacity to supply 1,000 cbm of LNG per hour.

With a specialised loading arm, it can provide safe bunkering to a wide range of ships, from small coastal to large transatlantic ships," explains Shell.

"It will be the biggest seagoing LNG bunker vessel with high maneuverability and will open up a new market in the marine transport industry."
