K Line Names Bunker-Saving LNG Carrier Newbuild

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (K Line) today announced it held a naming ceremony for its bunker-saving newbuild liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, Ocean Breeze, at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) Nagasaki Shipyard.
The MHI-designed vessel features a continuous cover integrated with the vessel's hull, which reduces weight and air resistance to lower fuel consumption.
Following delivery, Ocean Breeze is slated to be time-chartered to INPEX Shipping Co., Ltd. and employed carrying LNG from the Ichthys LNG Project in Darwin, Australia to Naoetsu, Niigata.
