Mitsui O.S.K. Lines' (MOL's) bunker-saving and "eco-friendly" 20,170 TEU newbuild, MOL Truth, is the largest ever Japan-built container ship to carry the Panamanian flag, says the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP).

The liquefied natural gas (LNG)-ready container ship is noted to feature several bunker-saving features that help reduce the vessel's CO2 emissions by up to 50 percent, compared to other container ships.

MOL Truth is the first of two such vessels ordered by MOL in early 2015, both of which are set to be employed on an Asia-Europe service.
