  • Petrobras says bunkering operations at Rio Grande have resumed
  • Power supply restored and facilities inspected before restart
  • Deliveries had been suspended since Monday's storm cut power to the terminal

Petrobras says it has resumed bunkering operations at Rio Grande in southern Brazil, three days after a storm cut power to the terminal where its supply barges load.

Power has been restored at the Rio Grande Terminal and a thorough inspection of the facilities completed, the company's bunkering arm said in an emailed notice to customers on Thursday.

The restart "reflects what consistently guides our actions: safety first, operational reliability, and high-quality service," it said, directing customers to their Petrobras trader for scheduling.

On Monday the company suspended deliveries at the port after a tropical storm with winds of more than 100 km/h hit the city in the early hours, damaging local infrastructure and leaving the terminal without power.

At the time it said it was "not yet possible to reliably estimate when operations will be able to resume", and could not say whether the outage would last hours or days.

The notice does not say when on Thursday deliveries restarted, or whether any stems were missed or diverted during the stoppage.
