Brazilian energy firm Petrobras has resumed VLSFO bunker sales at Brazil’s Port of Itaqui after maintenance on the fuel’s supply pipelines was postponed, while MGO sales remain suspended as planned.

The VLSFO pipeline maintenance, which had been scheduled for August 18 to September 7, has been postponed and no new date has been announced, the firm said in an emailed customer note on Tuesday.

Petrobras said VLSFO sales have resumed following the schedule change.

Maintenance of the port’s MGO pipelines is continuing as previously planned, with the work running from July 29 to November 9, or about 103 days.

MGO sales will remain suspended throughout the maintenance period and affect the supply and receipt of MGO at the berths at Itaqui.

Petrobras offers bunker fuels across ports in Brazil by pipe and barge. Deliveries at Itaqui are ex-pipe only, according to the firm’s website.
