US Gulf Supplier Expands Bunker Barge Fleet
Mobile, Alabama–based bunker supplier Atlantic Gulf Bunkering LLC (Atlantic Gulf Bunkering) today announced in an emailed press release it has expanded its barge fleet with the addition of two barges.
The supplier, which made its entrance into the U.S. Gulf market earlier this year, said the additions bring its fleet to three vessels.
"We are very excited about the addition of these two barges," said Kirk Callais, Sales Manager for Atlantic Gulf Bunkering.
"It greatly expands our ability to provide our customers with custom blends and low‐sulphur fuels that meet today's emission requirements. We are looking forward to being able to offer the additional capacity to the market."
Atlantic Gulf Bunkering said the new barges, AGB 101 and the AGB 102, hold up to 10,000 barrels of IFO product and can support deliveries in Mobile, Pascagoula, Gulfport, Pensacola, and Panama City, as well as surrounding areas.
AGB 101 has a bunker boom and is in immediate service, while AGB 102 is undergoing minor renovations and will be in the market shortly, the company added.
Looking ahead, the supplier said it plans to expand its reach into other ports and locations, as well as expand into deep water port development.
