The recently announced Vitol backed V-Marine Fuels said in a press release today that it is entering the U.S. physical bunker market.

From today, March 1, 2013 it is commencing physical operations in the Port of Houston and the nearby ports of Texas City, Galveston including Bolivar Roads.

Product will be sourced from its parent company, The Vitol Group, and V-Marine Fuels says it will offer a complete line of ISO 8217-2010 marine fuels from, initially, one barge capable of delivering Low and High Sulfur fuels.

The supplier said it will have additional barges at its disposal to meet its customer’s demands.

The launch of V-Marine Fuels was announced by the Cockett Group yesterday, being formed from the separation of its physical supply activities from its trading activities.
