Shipping group Hermann Buss GmbH & Cie (Buss Group) yesterday saw one of its multipurpose vessels (MPPs) arrested in Singapore, Tradewinds reports.

It is understood that the Antigua and Barbuda flagged MPP, Finex Trader, was arrested by Singapore's admiralty sheriff following instruction from law firm Rajah & Tann.

Exact reasons for the arrest are not publicly known at this stage but the report suggests outstanding payments to be the likely cause.

Finex Trader made news last year after it collided with a breakwater in Australia.

The arrest is the second in as many weeks in Singapore, following last week's arrest of a 12,800-dwt Chemical / Product tanker.
