Brightoil Starts Bunker Supply at Qingdao
Wednesday September 11, 2013
After a delay, Brightoil Petroleum (Brightoil) has begun supplying bunkers from East China's Qingdao port, Platts reports.
The company delivered 380 cst bunker fuel to a vessel at the port Tuesday, a company source said.
Brightoil uses its own 3,600 metric tonne (mt)-capacity barge and a leased 60,000 cubic meter storage tank at the port.
The company had originally planned to begin supplying fuel at the port in mid-July, but the start of operations was delayed.
One source cited a late delivery of a cargo as the reason for the late start, but others said the company was not able to get government approval on schedule.
