The arrival of approximately 150,000 tonnes of bunker fuel in Hong Kong over the last week have eased concerns over supply shortages, local players have told C1Energy.

A cargo of some 60,000-80,000 tonnes of bunker fuel due to be delivered to Chevron on January 5, 2013 was reported to have been delayed due to bad weather.

That cargo was eventually delivered on January 8, 2012.

An earlier 80,000 tonne cargo of bunker fuel reached Hong Kong on January 2, 2013.

IFO380 in the port has been slowly rising since the New Year, Ship & Bunker data shows, but the product was steady yesterday having made a week-on-week gain of $20.00.
