Singapore Bunker Sales Show Improvement
April's bunker sales were up 8.5 pecent month-on-month in Singapore to 3,647,900 metric tonnes (mt) for all products, according to official data published by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
It was the highest monthly volume since January, but the figure was 2.3 percent lower than the 3,735,400 mt sold in April last year.
Sales of key grade IFO380 rose 8 percent month-on-month to 2,714 million mt, while low sulfur 380 cSt (LS380) product rose to 55,300 mt, up 13.3 percent over last month.
Sales of 500 cSt bunkers made a notable 9 percent rise over last month's total, taking the volume sold to 633,200 mt - the first time monthly sales have been over 600,000 mt.
Vessel calls for the month were down slightly at 11,360 compared to 11,579 last month, while bunker only calls for the month were up 3.9 percent to 3,236.
