Navig8 Adds Two New Chinese ECO Tanker Orders

Navig8 Product Tankers Inc. says it has ordered two ECO LR2 tankers from China’s Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI).
The company, a newly incorporated division of international shipping management company Navig8, added the new contracts to previous orders from the shipyard.
They are scheduled for delivery in Q4 2016.
The company announced in October that it had completed a $150 million private placement that it would use to finance the construction of four ECO LR2 tankers at GSI.
The new order brings Navig8 Product Tankers to 18 ECO LR2 tankers now on firm order from GSI and Sungdong Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd. (Sungdong) in South Korea.
