Singapore November Bunker Sales Grow 3% Year-on-Year
Tuesday December 17, 2013
The volume of bunkers sold in Singapore during November 2013 has grown 3 percent year-on-year, according to official data from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
Total sales for all products was 3,373,100 metric tonnes (mt), compared to 3,275,600 mt in 2012.
As in the previous year, November sales showed a sharp decline over the previous month, this year dropping some 11 percent to an eight month low.
After sales in 2013 lagged behind those of 2012 for a large part of this year, November was the third consecutive month of higher year-on-year sales, meaning the year-to-date total of bunkers sold has now recovered to be just 184,700 lower than the period in 2012.
