Norwegian bunker brokerage Wilhelmsen Marine Fuels (WMF) has completed its integration with parent World Fuel Services Corporation [NYSE:INT] (WFS), and will now continue its operations under the WFS brand.

"We have successfully integrated the team under the WFS brand and continue to focus on serving our customers with high levels of service and support, as is associated with our trusted brand," Paul Lowther, Director, Marine Marketing at WFS told Ship & Bunker.

WMF, known as Wilhelmsen Premier Marine Fuels prior to November 2012, was bought by OW Bunker in June 2014 before being acquired by WFS in December of the same year.

"Our name is new but our commitment is the same: To provide reliable coverage and negotiate competitive bunker deals as one of the world's leading bunker brokerages. This change does not impact our business operations or legal entity structure in any way," the WMF website now states.

Miami-headquartered WFS is the world's biggest bunker player by volume, and last month reported an annual bunker sales volume for full year 2016 of 31.4 million metric tonnes (mt).
