Scrubber technology, the implementation of tighter rules on sulfur on bunkers, funding options, and new business opportunities for Danish maritime suppliers will be the focus of a conference in April organised by Danish Maritime and MARCOD, Maritime Denmark reports.

The conference, which is set to be held in Aalborg on April 25, is free to attend, but registration is required by March 20.

Last year, Denmark-based DFDS said scrubber installations on existing vessels for Emission Control Area (ECA) compliance had paid off, but suggested that liquefied natural gas (LNG) is the most efficient solution for newbuilds.
