Wärtsilä Corporation (Wärtsilä) today announced that its subsidiary Eniram has signed a five-year service agreement with Corsica Linea, which will glean the company bunker savings through digitalization and performance management.

"We are extremely happy to see Corsica Linea take this step and to start collaboration with us towards future performance management," said Johan Backas, Managing Director at Eniram.

The agreement, which covers the fleet owned and operated by Corsica Linea between Marseilles and Corsica, will see five vessels upgraded to Eniram's real-time performance management standards.

The agreement also includes reporting and analytics services for compliance with the European Union (EU) monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) regulation.

"Thanks to this agreement, Corsica Linea will get more analytics, insight and recommendations, guiding their future operations management," said Nicolas Rossi, Senior Account Manager at Wärtsilä.

In May, Wärtsilä launched a "major" update to its performance monitoring system for commercial shipping operators - the Eniram SkyLight 2.0, which the company says provides the tools needed to reduce fuel consumption and operate with lower emission levels.
