Navigator Amon Shipping has agreed a post-delivery term loan of up to $121.8 million for two newbuild ammonia-fuelled gas carriers.

The firm is a joint venture between Navigator Gas and Amon Maritime, Navigator Gas said in a press release on Monday.

The two 51,350 m3 vessels are under construction at Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering in China and are due for delivery in May and September 2028.

The ships will be capable of carrying ammonia and LPG and operating on ammonia as marine fuel.

ING Bank, Société Générale and Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation will provide the financing when the vessels are delivered, covering up to 70% of their cost.

The loan will run for six years after delivery and carry interest at SOFR plus 1.35%.

Pre-delivery payments and the remaining portion of the delivery instalments will be funded by Navigator Amon Shipping's shareholders.

The shipbuilding contracts for the two vessels were signed in July 2025.
