Two More Vessels Reportedly Hit in Strait of Hormuz
Two more vessels were reportedly struck in the Strait of Hormuz, following an earlier report that a crude oil tanker was hit by an unknown projectile, according to a British government agency monitoring maritime security in the region.
A verified source reported that an LNG tanker was struck by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, UKMTO said in a social media post on Wednesday.
In a separate warning, UKMTO said a tanker transiting inbound was also struck by an unknown projectile.
Both incidents were reported on Tuesday, with the warnings issued on today.
Authorities are investigating the incidents.
The latest warnings bring the number of reported vessel attacks in the Strait to three, involving a crude tanker, an LNG tanker and another tanker.
