OceanConnect Marine Launches New UK Bunker Barge
Glencore-owned Global Bunker trading firm OceanConnect Marine (OCM) today announced it has launched a new barge to grow its physical supply operation on the Thames, UK.
The 300 DWT Armador II will make coastal deliveries of MGO between Ipswich and Dover, in a move OCM says will effectively double its geographic coverage in the UK.
"Now more customers can benefit from the competitive pricing, flexibility, and service for which OCM is known," said OCM Managing Director S.I. Shim.
OCM's UK physical supply operation, begun in 2006, also includes its own dedicated storage on the Thames and truck supply throughout the whole of the country.
Today's news follow OCM's announcement in June it would undergo a "significant modernisation programme" within its UK physical supply operations.
