Turkey's Arkas Bunkering And Trading S.A. (Arkas) has announced that it has added two bunkering tankers to its fleet, M/T Alacati and M/T Bayrakli.

Arkas says M/T Bayrakli will be the largest fuel oil bunker tanker in Turkey, and is able to complete supply operations in short periods of time.

The addition of the two new tankers increases the company's total bunkering fleet to seven, boosting Arkas' total capacity to 18,888 DWT.

"According to the Fuel Market Reports 2015 and 2016 issued by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority, Arkas Bunkering reached the highest transit bunker fuel sales figures and continues to expand its fleet," said the company.

As part of the company's recent expansion efforts, Arkas put the 90 metre long, 4,137 DWT m/t Çeşme into operation in November.
