Quarterly Bunker Sales Edge up at Rotterdam

Quarterly bunker sales at Rotterdam were up year-on-year, according to port authority figures.

Third quarter bunker sales stood at 2,501,962  metric tonnes (mt) compared to 2,420,472 mt in the same period a year ago.

Sales in the quarter were also up on second quarter sales which came in at 2,494,012 mt.

Sales of the key 380 CST fuel oil grade accounted for the majority of the volume at 2,107,967 mt compared to 2,018,125 mt over the period. Third quarter volumes were also up on second quarter volumes, the figures show.

Sales of marine gasoil at 325,324 mt were down year-on-year (348,717 mt) while sales of marine diesel oil at 44,645 mt were up (29,484 mt).

Total bunker volume sold at the Dutch bunkering hub came in at 7,471,440 mt for the first three quarters of 2017.
